Modernizing Lotterywest’s System
The agreement marks a significant upgrade for Lotterywest’s gaming system, which is central to its draw-based and instant ticket operations. Brightstar will replace the incumbent technology with its high-performance central lottery system and supply 775 new retailer terminals, including the advanced Retailer Pro S2 model. In addition, the company will deliver software and applications to streamline back-office operations, as well as provide updated website and mobile applications for digital engagement.
Lotterywest CEO Colin Smith said the system replacement is part of a broader commitment to modernize operations, support players and retailers, and ensure continued community returns. He emphasized the importance of updating the platform to sustain Lotterywest’s legacy and future growth.
