Later that day at home, while watching television, she scratched off the ticket and discovered that one of her numbers — number 20 — matched the winning number corresponding to the $50,000 top prize. In disbelief, she immediately called her sister to confirm what she saw. “This doesn’t look real,” she told her sibling upon seeing the result.

The lucky winner visited Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore earlier this week to claim her prize. When asked about her plans, she shared that she intends to use a portion of the unexpected windfall to host a holiday-themed pajama party for family and friends.

The “Money Maker” scratch-off, launched earlier this month, offers a top prize of $50,000. According to lottery officials, several top prizes of this amount are still available, and the overall odds of winning any prize on this ticket are approximately 1 in 3.88.
